I have been making jewelry for more than two decades, beginning at the young age of 14 in a high school metal arts class. What started as a curiosity grew to become a lifelong practice and business, one that I have carried with me through every stage of life. My work is inspired by historic architecture from the Gothic era, Art Nouveau, and the ornate details of everyday objects like antique gates, furniture, and utensils. Each design is both a nod to history and an exploration of how strength, artistic form, and function can coexist.
Working in my home studio in Seattle, I design collections both large and small, focusing on keeping the timeless craft of metalworking alive. I design my pieces using pencil and paper, then bring them to life with hand tools and precious metals. I find my rhythm in metalworking; sawing, soldering, shaping, and polishing. I feel this work connects me to a lineage of makers who across generations have long valued skill, patience, and immense attention to detail.
In addition to my work as a jeweler, I am also a medical student studying to be a doctor. My silverwork provides me with a way to balance my academic life, giving myself space to work with my hands, slow down, and create outside the rigorous cerebral rollercoaster of medicine. Through my work, I strive to craft pieces that feel timeless, intentional, and meant to one day be an heirloom. I have hope that my jewelry pieces will travel into the world, last the test of time, and become a part of the very human history that inspired the creation of each piece.
